The Helen Gee Chin Scholarship Foundation was formed in 2011, in memory of Sifu Calvin Chin’s beloved wife and administrator of the Academy for 15 years, who passed away after a brief battle with cancer. It was an opportunity to take a terrible loss and turn it into something positive. The Foundation awards college scholarships to encourage academic achievement and motivate individuals to become serious practitioners of Chinese martial arts.
